This is book four in the "de Lohr Dynasty" series and know that this book has about 750 pages. So it is one that you are committed to for a little while. Sir Christopher de Lohr is a campaign and fighter so on the battle field to a dying comrade he promises to marry his daughter. Of course Chris does not want to marry but the father has given him all his land and etc to marry her. Dustin Barrington the daughter does not want to marry either but does not get a choice. Chris and Dustin have a rocky first start and they also have a lot of people that seem to become involved in their life and marriage. This book did seem to go pretty long to me and I didn't like that some of what Chris and Dustin did. It a different type of historical romance.
