Book Review For: Only a Viscount Will Do by Tamara Gill

Only a Viscount Will Do - Tamara Gill

'Only a Viscount Will Do' by Tamara Gill is book Three in the "To Marry a Rogue" series. This is the story of Lady Alice Worthingham and Callum Edwards, Viscount Arndel. I have read the other books in this series (all great books!!) but feel this can easily be a standalone book.
Callum inherited the estate and Title of Viscount Arndel from his cousin when he past. But Callum quickly learned there was an outstanding debt from a Moneylender that his cousin has ...and now the moneylender is expecting him to pay it. The debt is too high to pay and the lender gives him the option to become a Highway Man and rob people of a list of jewelry he wants that will pay off the debt. Callum has no choice but to do what he is asked because if not they will hurt his daughter. But now Callum in almost completed his mission with just one more thing to steal. Which leads him to rob Alice's mother and her. Alice is Callum neighbor and also someone he has feelings for. When he pulls them over to rob them, Callum can't help but tease Alice. But Alice takes action against him and gets away...but no before he takes her mother's beloved broach.
I really felt for Callum being put in a hard place to take items from his fellow towns people. Alice was a pretty strong main character. I enjoyed 'watching' these two interact and them getting together.
I am a big Fan of Ms. Gill's writing and all her books are ones I can't put down. Once I start I cannot stop until I know the end. This one was another one that I couldn't put down...loved it!

Back to Your Love: When a Lady Dares by Tara Kingston

When a Lady Dares - Tara Kingston

'When a Lady Dares' by Tara Kingston is book Two in the "Her Majesty's Most Secret Service" series.
This is the story of Sophie Atherton and Gavin Stanwyck. I have read the previous book but feel this can easily be a standalone book.
Sophie is undercover as a medium's assistant when she meets Gavin. Sophie works for the Crown and also works as a journalist for the Herald under a different name. So she is used to repeating lies and knowing when someone is lying. So when she meets Gavin who is a treasure hunter she knows that he isn't telling the truth.
Gavin is looking for answers on his friend's Peter death. To get those answers, Gavin poses as a Treasure Hunter. Gavin thinks a Spiritualist may have the information he is looking so he needs to hide who he really is. But Gavin has found the Spiritualist assistant, Sophie is a temptation he might not be able to resit.
This book was a great mystery mixed with romance story that once you got a few pages in you wanted to see what would happen next. Gavin and Sophie I thought had good chemistry and both were very likable characters.
I enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more from Ms. Kingston.

Book Review For: Of Demons & Stones by Anne L. Parks

Of Demons & Stones: A Tri-Stone Trilogy - Anne L. Parks

Of Demons & Stones by Anne L. Parks is book one in this continuing story of Kylie Tate and Alex beware that there is a cliffhanger. I will honestly say that I loved this book and truly wanted their story to keep going. This is a lot of things going on in their story so it will be one you won't want to put beware of that too. I just so happy to have found this author and can't wait for more of her books!

Kylie has been moving up in her company at a top criminal lawyer...but Kylie has to work still with her abusive ex boyfriend who almost killed her. Kylie kept it a secret from the firm due to threats from the ex boyfriend and the shame of his abuse attached with the story. Kylie has avoided all romantic encounters until she happens to meet Alex. Kylie is very much attracted to Alex but thinks that he wouldn't really give her a second look. But Alex it seems has started to notice her and asking her out. Kylie then thinks maybe he is staying with his one night affair reputation and that he might be the one to get her out into the dating world again. Kylie thinks this because she assumes this really wouldn't be very serious relationship for Alex.
Kylie finds soon enough that Alex is wanting more than just a few dates and she does too. But the ex boyfriend too has started to notice that she is seeing Alex and starts to be more confrontational that he has been since they dated.
This story has a lot of drama, love, hero trying to protect 'his women' and also it would seem a possible secret that Alex has told Kylie about.

Book Review For: 'The Bad Guy' by Celia Aaron

The Bad Guy - Celia Aaron

'The Bad Guy' by Celia Aaron is the story of Sebastian Lindstrom and Camille Briarlane.
I just gonna say now I will never be able to put into words how much I loved this book! Yes, it is a Dark Romance but it was not a really dark type of a romance. Sebastian is an all out Alpha male with a dark mind but it stems from him having a hard time as a child to learn to love. Sebastian Mother and Father loved each other and Sebastian but when his mother found that he has an emotional learning issue she became distant and his father took over the loving parent roll. Really Sebastian knows that from the first moment he sees Camille at an office type party that he wants her. There is no question in his mind that she should be his. Although Sebastian doesn't understand at first why he is having these feelings or what they are leading his feelings too...he knows that there is nothing to do but for her to be his.
Camille is a Biology School teacher and is dating Link who works for Sebastian. Although Link would like to take their relationship to the next level Camille isn't sure she is ready. When Camille meets Sebastian at Link's business party she finds him very attractive but knows he is out of her league.
But that isn't stopping her from thinking about Sebastian! But Sebastian does something that shocks Camille! Sebastian thinks he is taking the correct action in making Camille his but has he just made the biggest mistake with Camille?
This is beyond being HOT Romance! I so enjoyed this story and can't wait to read more from Ms. Aaron!

'Unmasking the Earl' by Elizabeth Keysian is book Two in the "Wayward in Wessex" series. This is the story of Lord Edmund Talbot, the Earl of Stranraer 'Ned" and Miss Cassandra Blythe 'Cassie". I have read the other book but feel this is easily a standalone book.
Cassie thinks she is in love with Julian Carnforth. Julian just thinks of her as a little sister. So Cassie wants to learn to seduce him. When Cassie sees Julian going off with a lady named Lucy at a party she feels she needs to save him from this women. Captain Francis Wycherley is who brought Lucy to the party and who has a relationship with her. So Cassie and the Captain go off to confront the two wayward couple. Ned is pretending to be a servant to be in the Captain's house hold to look for clues about what happened to his sister. Ned's sister went missing after a fire happened Ned feels that the Captain has something to do with his missing sister.

Book Review For: The Rogue of Islay Isle by Heather McCollum

The Rogue of Islay Isle (Highland Isles) - Heather McCollum

'The Rogue of Islay Isle' by Heather McCollum is Book Two in the "Highland Isles" series. This is the story of Cullen Duffie and Madeleine. I have read the previous book but this is easily a standalone book.
Cullen is the new chief of Clan MacDonald, after his Grandfather appoints him with the title before his death. Cullen's Uncle and his people are watching him to see if he is like his father. Cullen is trying to prove he isn't his father and doesn't have his bad ways. Yes, Cullen was free with the ladies and now that has stopped but the ladies are looking to be his wife now. Cullen has been trying to gain peace and allies with neighbor clans. Also there are issue with not keeping spies or breaking any laws that could land them in trouble.
But when Madeleine is found on the beach by Cullen, Cullen takes her to his home. Cullen's Uncle starts to question who she is and if his choices won't be hurting the Clan.
Madeleine had a rope around her neck which has left her badly bruised and unable to talk for a while. Also she has lost some of her memory. So when she does start to speak it is with a French accent which means she could be a spy.
This was another exciting book by Ms. McCollum!
