I received an eARC, from NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.
'The Master Of Strathburn' by Amy Rose Bennett is the story of Robert Grant and Jessie Munroe. This is the first book I have read by this author and I am so glad to have the chance to read her book. I will definitely be looking out for more books by Ms. Bennett.
Jessie is having to go on the run because a man named Simon Grant is trying to make her his mistress and thinks she if fair game since her father is away. So Jessie is trying to escape him but get hurt a few times along the way. Jessie wakes up and finds herself with Robert Grant...Simon's older half brother. Robert has been gone from the area for a long time but is now back trying to fix things with his father and for when he was young and 'hot headed'. Robert takes to helping Jessie to get to a safer location in Edinburgh.
This was a very entertaining book and was so glad to have the chance to read it!
