This is book five in the "Playful Brides" series by Valerie Bowman. I have been jumping around in the series so I do feel this is a standalone book.
Lady Alexandra Hobbs fell in love with Lord Owen Monroe the first time she saw him out her window helping her brother and the stable boy with two younger men trying to fight them. Ever since she has been dreaming of marring him. But in the present day she learns that her father and his father are making a contract that will force Owen to marry her older spoiled and mean sister. Alex sister doesn't want him but Alex tries to derail Owen from winning her sisters affections. Owen start to see Alex and her sister are very different and starts to look toward Alex. This was a really great read that was funny, emotional and loving.
