Jodee was the daughter of a famous outlaw who has been killed. She was forced to go with what gang members that were left were they were found and it became a shootout. Jodee was not part of the gang and was accidentally shot in the shootout. Corbert Harlow is the marshal of the town and he takes her in but later realizes she is not part of the gang. He tries to help her get honest money to be able to get a ticket and return to her home with her grandmother. The both try to fight their feeling but they do have a tough time doing so. This was a sweet romance that would be good for young and old readers. I enjoyed having the chance to read it and hope that you will too.
