Love Most, Say Least (Marry the Scot, #2)
The boy who has everything meets the girl who has nothing...when she nearly runs him over.
James Fitzroy's life could be called charmed. With an ancient name and a sprawling country estate, only an arranged marriage stands between him and his billionaire inheritance. But appearances are rarely what they seem. Traumatised after a tragic accident, speaking doesn’t come easily to James, and he cares little for anything, including who he weds.
Until the screech of brakes awakens him to all he can’t have.
Beth Grace might be descended from criminals, but she'd never follow in their footsteps. Apart from the one time she did. Now, even an invitation to go driving in Scotland with the world's most handsome man can't derail her from her plan to pay her dues. Besides, despite the startling chemistry, women like her don’t get to date earls. She couldn’t be further from what he needs.
Two broken souls can make a whole. There’s just the matter of a wedding in the way.

He looked noble, if that was a thing, and downright sexy, except he almost vibrated, like his body was held together by tension.
A magnet pulling me near.
I needed to know how to take him apart.
Yesterday, I’d hurt her. She’d wanted to leave. But now she slept in my bed and she’d seen my scars. Heard me say almost the most words I’d uttered to a woman in years.
All I could think about was him. His touch. Our last kiss. The strange situation he was in and why on Earth I had to like the one guy I couldn’t have.
Like. What an understatement of a word.
“I have no idea what’s going on,” I took a step, gathering my courage, “but you look at me like I’m dangerous yet you don’t say a word.”
In his armchair, James dropped his head back. “I know.”
“All the times we talked, I thought we had… I don’t know. A connection.” Another step, my boots silent on the castle’s flagstone floor.
He didn’t raise his head, so I sighed and moved until I was between his open legs. “James! I’m going home in the morning.”
His eyes snapped open. “No.”
“Please, don’t.” James sat upright.
The wildness in his eyes had my pulse flying. Beside us, the fire blazed higher, wind howling down the chimney, fanning the flames and sending sparks flying.
“Help me out here.” I took his shoulders in my hands and pushed him back into his chair.
“You’re touching me,” he said.
“I am.”
The sheer confusion on his face had me hypnotised, and I wanted to fall right onto his lap. Onto his lips.
“We’re here, face to face, alone, and with a roaring fire. This has to be the single most romantic scene of my life, and I’m alone in it.”
“I swear to you, you’re not.” He took my elbow, pulled.
I landed on his lap. My breath hitched, but then every thought flew out of my mind, because James cupped the back of my neck.
And laid his lips on mine.
Holy Mother Earth. This was happening. From nothing to him claiming a kiss. I reeled with the action and leaned forwards, gripping the back of the chair to steady myself. Our mouths pressed together, and James took my waist, his thumbs caressing my ribcage.
I wanted it to be perfect but…it was the strangest kiss I’d ever had.
Chaste and slow. Warm.
Really warm.
I shifted on his thighs then brought my hands forwards to tangle them in his hair. At the same moment, he ran both arms around my back and held me to him, turning his face as he shivered against me.
He burned.
“You have a fever,” I stuttered.
“No. I’m cold.” He shivered again, violently, and gripped me, his muscles hard.
Oh boy. My stomach sank. He was sick.
And there was me thinking my womanly wiles had finally broken down his barriers. Heaving a sigh, I extricated myself from his grip and clambered to my feet.
“Don’t.” He stole my hand. “That was wonderful. Stay.”
“Bed,” I said, engaging the kind but firm mode I’d used with younger foster kids I’d lived with, and I squeezed his hand.
James’s reddened eyes widened.
“You’re sick, and I’m going to put you to bed.” I grabbed his other hand and hauled him to his feet.
He lumbered over me, impossibly tall and broad, but unsteady, too. I kept his hand in mine then led him to the staircase and climbed.
“C’mon. Almost there. You’ll be able to lie down soon.”
“I’m fine,” James muttered, but he didn’t let go as he traipsed up the steps.
Through the archway that punched a hole in the castle wall, we entered the bedroom hallway.
“Which is yours?” I asked.
“Keep going. Wait, no. I can get to my room on my own. Hey, weren’t we talking?”
“Mhmm.” I kept moving along the carpet runner, passing my bedroom and the one Callum had allocated to Mattie. Odds on she wasn’t in there.
We rounded a corner, and James halted, stopping me with him. He put his arms around my shoulders from behind.
“This is me.”
The heat of him repelled the chill of the draughty corridor, and for a moment, I didn’t move. I liked his touch, this almost-hug. I wanted this moment, but it wasn’t really a moment at all. The kiss hadn’t been real, and I was right back at square one.
James didn’t mean any of it.
Acute disappointment controlled my next actions.
I twisted the handle and threw the door open. Then I led him in, paying no attention to his personal belongings. Not wanting more reminders to obsess over. The details to make it real.
Beside his bed—a four-poster, for God’s sake—I shrugged off his arms and turned. With a forced smile, I pushed up on my toes and kissed him on the cheek. “Goodnight.”
“Stay, please.”
The intensity of his tone socked me in the gut, and I swallowed down my reaction.
“You don’t want that. Not really. Sleep, James,” I whispered.
Leaving him standing there, I walked away.
Beth stilled and regarded me curiously. “Can I ask you a question?”
“When I first saw you, you know, looking like you do, I thought you’d be all over the ladies. A real player. But now I know you better…”
“You know how far from the truth that is,” I finished her statement. “I’ve never been interested in anyone before.”
“Before me.”
I adjusted her on my lap, and Beth didn’t take her eyes off mine.
“No one. Ask your question,” I prompted, knowing exactly what she wanted to hear.
“You’ve never slept with anyone?”
Raising my hand, I traced the outline of Beth’s lips. My heart hammered, but I wanted her to know this so badly. “The first person I ever kissed was a few days ago in Castle McRae. This wildly beautiful woman who drives me crazy and has my heart beating like I’m in a race for my life. She let me kiss her, even though I behaved horribly, and it was imperfectly perfect. So no, I’ve never had sex and, yes, you are the one and only person I’ve ever kissed.”
From the back of the room came a small blaze of light. Beth’s widened eyes flicked up then back down. “That kiss, by the fire. The romantic scene when I told you I felt alone.”
“That’s the one.”
She gaped, swaying backwards an inch. “Why didn’t you tell me? And I was about to drag you to a backroom to jump your bones. God, James! We can make you losing your virginity so special. Like it should be. Just think of what we can do!”

Love Most, Say Least by Jolie Vines is book Two in the Marry The Scot Series. This is the story of Beth Grace and James Fitzroy. I have read the previous book and felt you could make this a standalone one if you wish to do so.
Beth didn't have the best childhood and now she is 18 she is trying to clear up a past mistake with the law. James is set to inherit his family country estate if he can be married by 21. James is set in his mind that he will have a loveless life because of it but he is taken back by Beth who knocks him off his feet (no really). Beth doesn't mind temporary since that is all she knows to expect or want. But their feelings are to strong to walk away from.
I enjoyed their story and this series.

About Ker Dukey

My books all tend to be darker romance, edge of you seat, angst filled reads. My advice to my readers when starting one of my titles…prepare for the unexpected. I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters growing up. My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light; some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling. When I’m not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I’m a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister.

Blurb: It was the worst day of my life.

I know most people say that about something obviously horrific—a first heartbreak, the discovery of a fatal illness, or the funeral of a loved one—but my situation was a little different. Not only was it my wedding day, but it was also the day I chose to die.

Two men. The first, my Master, my captor, and my impossible love. The other, his brother, a mafioso I was meant to ensnare and ruin.

If I had any hope of living a normal life reunited with my family, I had to make a choice. End my old life as I knew it and start fresh, or take down the monsters that hunted me and haunted my Master.

In the end, the decision was never really mine to make. Because Alexander Davenport would come to claim me even in death.

“Don’t.” It was a single word, but it carried a wealth of meaning.
Miss Grace blinked, tipping her head just a fraction of an inch. “Pardon?”
He shook his head slightly. “Don’t. I know what you are thinking, and it’s wrong.”
A bit of the spark he’d seen earlier flared to life in her eyes, and it pleased him. “I wasn’t aware you were a mind reader.”
“I’m not, but I am quite intuitive on certain things, and this is one of them. You’re thinking you don’t belong, that you knew you’d do something stupid like this, and that you are disappointing Heath—Viscount and Lady Kilpatrick.” He finished, lifting his chin, daring her to contradict him.
Her defiant gaze flickered to the ground and he noted the way her jaw clenched. There was a slight sigh before she raised her gaze to his. “Am I wrong to think those things?”
He mentally applauded her willingness to be honest. “Yes. While it was unfortunate for you to . . . do whatever you did. I rather missed the whole mess, but only you can let it define you, Miss Grace. And I, for one . . .” He took a step closer to her. “Rather thought you stronger than that.”
He issued the challenge, offering the opportunity to rise to the occasion rather than offer sympathy.
Sympathy was for fools, for those too weak to accept the challenge of rising above. And was quite certain that Miss Grace needed the gauntlet thrown, rather than a soft word and kind pat.
         Like a pet Yorkie.
Ramsey gave a slight shiver at the thought.
“I just made a cake of myself,” she retorted with enough heat to warn him, but not loudly enough to draw attention.
         “I know.”
“And yet, you want me to waltz right out there—”
“I wouldn’t waltz if I were you; that might draw attention. Most people simply walk, but . . .” He hitched a shoulder.
She glared, clearly not appreciating his attempt at humor.
Ladies were so irritatingly literal when they were angry. Annoying, that.
“Well, what are you going to do? Hide? Let them win? Cower? I guarantee that is exactly what they think you should do, and then they will whisper behind your back, and then to your face.”
“They’ll whisper regardless.” Miss Grace shrugged, giving a very unladylike eye roll to punctuate her statement.
Even if it was unladylike, Ramsey had to agree with the gesture. London elite had earned many an eye roll from him as well. “Yes, but the question is . . .” He took a step forward, met her gaze with a frank on of his own, and continued. “What do you want them to whisper about? How you ran, or how you had the bravery to rise above?”
Her green eyes sparkled, then kindled with what looked suspiciously like courage, but then she glanced down to the floor, hiding his view of her expression.
The first measures of the waltz started playing, and Ramsey turned to the ballroom, watching the dancers start to assemble in the middle of the floor.
Before he could second-guess his instincts, he held his hand out.
Miss Grace glanced from his hand, to his eyes, then back, her brows arching in a question.
“Or was I wrong? Are you not brave enough?” He challenged.
It wasn’t a second later than her hand was firmly placed on his arm, following him from the alcove into the room.
As they stood in the frame of the waltz and began to melt into the other swirling dancers, it was only then that Ramsey realized that he had given the London Ton something entirely different to whisper about.

The Temptation of Grace by Kristin Vayden is book Three in the Gentlemen of Temptation Series.  This is the story of Ramsey Scott, Marquess of Sterling and Iris 'Grace' Morgan. I have read the previous books but feel you can make this a standalone book.
Grace had travel around where other young women her age have not, so she has a different take on life.  Grace also is someone that is awkward and clumsy which she goes forward to be more graceful as her name.  But she does have a misstep with society which brings Ramsey to step forward to help her, which leads to a unconventional friendship, but Grace wishes for more.  Ramsey too is having feelings for Grace but he has always felt that he wasn't good enough because of his father's expectations.  But of course feelings can't be overlooked for long.

Watch the Trailer:

I’m munching my way through the bowl of popcorn when Summer and the cute little guy return. “I’m Iron Man!” he proclaims in a gruff voice, puffing out his chest behind his costume and bounding into the room, displaying impressive arrogance like a true mini Tony Stark. “And I’m Black Widow,” Summer announces, in an assertive tone, striding into the room behind him in a figure-hugging black jumpsuit, holding two toy swords in her hands. She stands confidently beside my nephew, the two of them projecting superhero status, and I can’t contain my laughter. “You dare to laugh at me?” She quirks a brow. When Billy flips up his Iron Man mask, exchanging a devilish look with Summer, I’m on instant alert. “What’s going on?” I question with clear caution in my tone. “Billy and I made a new rule,” Summer says, winking at my nephew as a wicked smile graces her mouth. “You can only watch the movie if you’re wearing a costume.” She throws something at me. “You’re up, champ. Go get dressed.” I inspect the flimsy red and blue silky material with trepidation, my mouth curling in disgust. “Oh, hell to the no.” “That’s a bad word, Uncle Ryan,” Billy says, wagging his finger at me. “Now be Spiderman, or I’ll tell Mom you were cussing again.” The little blackmailing shit. Still, I can’t keep the smile off my face. There isn’t much I won’t do for my nephew, it seems, as I saunter out of the room with the offending costume in hand, subtly spanking Summer on the ass as I pass by her. “What the actual fuck?” I question out loud to myself a few minutes later, all tangled up in the too-tight costume. How the fuck does Slate fit into this thing? I tug on the material, trying to stretch it out so it reaches my wrists and my ankles and isn’t molded to my dick like a tight layer of foreskin. That’s assuming it’s Slater’s because right now I’m questioning if this suit is even adult sized. Little beads of sweat dot my brow as I finally get the damn thing on. I look in the mirror, laughing at the state of myself squeezed into the minuscule costume, deciding that Summer owes me at least a blow job for this. The instant I step foot in the living room, shouting “I am Spiderman,” because hey, when in Rome and all that shit, the room erupts in an explosion of laughter, and you’d swear there were twenty people in the room not two. Or one point five if you consider Billy’s still a kid. Summer drops to her knees, tears pouring out of her eyes, and she can’t stop laughing long enough to speak. Billy is running around the room, giggling and squealing. “Hey, it was your great idea,” I say, strolling over to the couch and plopping down on it. The material scrunches up at my thighs, almost giving me a wedgie, and I squirm on the couch trying to get comfortable. Summer shrieks, almost convulsing with laughter, before jumping up and dashing out of the room. “Was it something I said?” I joke with Billy, and he giggles, snuggling up on the couch with me and snatching the popcorn. I’m still cursing the damn costume a couple minutes later when Summer returns wearing a Wonder Woman outfit this time. If I thought the crotch of my Spiderman costume was tight before, it’s nothing on how strained it is now I’m sporting the biggest boner known to man. Discreetly, I pull the throw off the back of the couch, covering my nether regions before Billy notices the giant bulge in my tighter than tight pants. “Are you trying to kill me, woman?” I ask as Summer flops down on the other side of me. “Death by giant erection,” I whisper in her ear, and she splutters, holding up a hand, trying to compose herself long enough to speak. “Stop!” She titters, clutching her stomach as if she’s in pain. “I’ve already had to change once because I peed my pants.” I just stare at her, and she cracks up in laughter again. “You seriously peed your pants?” I inquire, fighting a bout of laughter myself. She punches me in the arm, but it’s a feeble effort, and I barely feel a twinge. “It’s your fault.” She looks over me, snorting with laughter. “How the hell did you even get that thing on?” “It wasn’t without challenge, trust me.” I wink at her, and she rests her head on my shoulder, her light laughter warming my insides. “You look totally fuckable in that costume,” I whisper in her ear. “I want you to wear it later when you’re riding me.” “Do you think that’s why Gabby and Slater have so many costumes upstairs? Do they play superhero in the bedroom?” she whispers, waggling her brows suggestively as my stomach sours. My insides shrivel at the thought, and I scowl at her. “Thanks a bunch for that lovely visual of my sister. Now, I have a renewed urge to punch my brother-in-law in the face.” I know Gabby and Slate usually dress up to go trick or treating with Billy at Halloween, and I’m sticking to that story as the most logical explanation. Because, otherwise, I’m likely to land one on Slate the second he steps foot in the door.

ONS - Teaser 1 AN

She opened the door and sucked in a breath. “Val.” Garbed in the immaculately tailored suit of clothing he’d worn to dinner, he grinned, and her entire body heated in response. “You do remember my name.” “You shouldn’t be here.” That was all she managed to get out before he pushed past her and strode into the room. He frowned as he surveyed the chamber. “This is very small.” “You act as though you’ve never been up here.” “Not never, but not in some time.” He straightened and gave her a decisive nod. “I’ll move you downstairs.” Closer to him. That was a terrible notion. “No, you won’t.” He took a step toward her, the frown returning. “A governess isn’t a servant.” “Nor is she a member of the family.” Footsteps on the stairs filled her with alarm. “You need to go. You can’t be in here.” He rotated his head, presenting his ear toward the door and took another step forward. “Is someone coming?” “Yes,” she hissed. “Then I can’t very well leave. I’d walk right by whomever it is.” He sounded utterly unconcerned. Isabelle closed the door with a firm click. Then she spun around to glare at him. “Are you trying to get me tossed out?” “I would never toss you out. And no, I’m not trying to have your employment terminated. Though I will say I never imagined I’d see you as a governess.” His gaze dipped over her as if he were assessing what he had seen her as—and she didn’t want to know. Too aware of his lingering attention and the fact that she wore only a night rail covered with a rather thin dressing gown, she crossed her arms across her chest and gave him a cool stare. “You need to go.” “And I shall. Soon. After we…talk.” He looked around the room once more, and his gaze settled on the diminutive chair situated in the corner next to her miniscule nightstand. “We have nothing to talk about,” Isabelle said. He moved to the chair and sat down. “Come now, after a decade, there is plenty to discuss. I could sit here with you all night.” All night. They’d done that once. But they hadn’t been sitting. Or talking. Well, there had been some talking. And some sitting…of sorts. She blushed at the memory. He gave her a sly look. “What are you thinking about?”

Except when that man turns out to be Logan Reid, the host of a popular sketch show—and Cassie has just been roped into his latest prank. She wants nothing to do with his antics, but that was a really great kiss, and one night together couldn’t hurt.

It’s clear that one night isn’t enough and when Logan’s show brings him closer to Cassie, they decide to give dating a try. Can the woman who’s focused solely on her career and the man who refuses to take life seriously make it work?

Light by Angel Payne is Volume Six with Parts 16, 17 & 18 in the Bolt Saga.  This continues the story of  Reece and Emma, so you really should read the previous books to fully enjoy this one.
This book picks up with Emma and Reece excited for the child they are to have but it is overshadow by the danger they are facing.  Of course their story is continuing to be in crisis due to the threats but this book does set their story to rest with the end of this series.  I have started with the first book until this one so I have mixed feelings with not having the next book to look forward too.  But I will be looking for more books from this author!

AVAILABLE NOW!! Amazon: Apple Books: Paperback:
Blurb: Being labelled a player never stopped me from being successful with women. Until I met Truly Harbury.
Truly was the first girl who ever turned me down.
The first female friend I ever had.
And she might just be the first woman I ever fall in love with.
When an emergency means she needs my help running her family’s charity, I’m happy to introduce her to the glitz and glamour of the London business world—taking her to dinners, coaching her through speeches, zipping up the sexy evening gown I helped her pick out.
The more time we spend together, the more I want to convince her I’m not a man to avoid, that we’re not as unsuited as she believes.
She sees herself as the book-reading, science-loving introvert while I’m the dangerous, outgoing, charmer.
She thinks I love parties and people whereas she prefers pajamas and a takeaway.
What she doesn’t realize is that I like everything about her–the way her smile lights up a room, how her curves light up my imagination, and especially the way her lips taste when coated with tequila.
She’s the first woman I ever fell in love with. I just need to know if she could ever love me too.
*International Player is a complete standalone contemporary romance
Excerpt: In, two, three, out, two. Shit. I tried again. In, two, three, out, two, three. It wasn’t helping. My heart was hammering against my chest, my palms were sweaty, and images of hundreds and hundreds of faces staring at me flashed into my head.
I ignored the knock on my office door. I was too concerned about what was happening to me. Was it possible to have a heart attack at twenty-eight?
“Truly,” a familiar, male voice called.
I couldn’t look up. Couldn’t even open my eyes.
Warm hands covered my knees and body heat radiated in front of me.
“Are you okay? Take a breath.” What was Noah doing here?
I nodded, still counting my breath. As if he was familiar with the technique, he began counting along with me. “Out, two, three. In, two, three. Out, two, three.”
His voice was calming. The counting hadn’t worked when I’d done it alone, but hearing him counting too helped me settle into a rhythm.
Eventually, his hands slid from my knees, and I sat up and opened my eyes, right into his.
“Are you okay?” he asked, his brow
I was such an idiot. A mess. And this was why Noah and I had only ever been friends. He was used to seeing me in no makeup with a smear of kung pao chicken on my face. And now I was panicking about a meeting that he would think nothing of. Yes, Noah only ever saw me at my absolute worst.
“What are you doing here?” I asked. I didn’t want him to see me like this.
“Do you want some water?” He stood and poured me a glass of sparkling water from the bottle on my desk.
“Thanks.” I took a sip and sat back in my chair.
“I came to talk to you. Apologize if I seemed harsh last night. I’m sorry if I made this worse, Truly.”
I cleared my throat. “I’m fine. Just a little . . .” I watched as he slid into the chair opposite my desk, his long legs unfurling in front of him. “I just have a lot to do.”
He nodded, steepling his fingers. “And I’m here to help.”

Debase by Rachel Van Dyken is book One in the Elite Bratva Brotherhood Series. But in addition to that, this is the last book in the Eagle Elite Series. This is the story of Alice De Lange and Andrei Petrov who both did not choose to be apart of the family that they are in nor the harsh childhood each had. Andrei feels he is nothing but evil at the things he had to see and do at such a young age. Alice who should of had the love and protection growing up didn't not. Alice was to be just another person they captured but she slowly turned into something more. Andrei felt his hands where to bloody for one such as Alice but for her he turned into her world.
This is a Dark Romance Read but it was a page turner for me. It kept me wondering what next!
